 An innovative technological breakthrough :
 Fuzzy expertise
Fuzzy logic is a recognized scientific approach with two major sources of input :

an approach which makes it possible to quantify imprecise (i.e. subjective) data and problems.
an approach which makes it possible to work with vague nuances, moving away from established dichotomy (i.e. yes or no, true or false).
In contrast to binary logic, which allows approximate modelling of a simple reality, fuzzy logic relies on the principle of partial belonging of an element to a whole.

Fuzzy expertise integrates fuzzy logic, making it possible to easily incorporate a large amount of wide-ranging, quantitative and qualitative data (perceptions, anticipations).

The problem is broken down using a tree structure which gives a consolidated, immediate view of the objective and subjective factors at stake.

The system has been created for interactive computerized exploitation, thus facilitating the re-use and broadcast of the application.

Constituting a real operational guide for action, this system evaluates the consequences of the possible choices, simulates the impact of different hypotheses on the direction which is most likely to lead to achievement of the pre-defined objectives. It is of considerable relevance for projects in which the people risk is high.

This approach makes it possible to group together and to compare evaluations carried out by several decision-makers or users : in this way consensus is reached more easily and more rapidly.

Last, but not least, it constitutes a remarkable knowledge transfer tool and steering aid.
